The End is Near For Jodi Arias - Next Stop Perryville Prison

The clock is ticking down for Jodi Arias and her defense team and her days at the Estrella jail are numbered, regardless of the numerous outlandish motions filed by her defense team the end is near and this saga will be done.  For the Alexander family and those of us who have watched in utter disgust as this trial has dragged on beyond my wildest estimate of time it should take to sentence a person already tried and convicted of murder in the first degree, it's time to end this!

Jodi received her very costly and lengthy trial and she was ultimately found guilt by a jury of her peers..unable to decide on punishment, a mistrial was declared and it took more than a year to get the case in front of a newly seated jury. The new jury heard a streamlined summary of facts and evidence from the first trial presented by prosecutor Juan Martinez. But then came the defense witnesses. Much like the case in chief, the defense paraded in more questionable experts who again based their findings on the word of a well documented liar in Jodi Arias and continued their defense by mudslinging and character assassination of the murder victim Travis Alexander.

This is supposed to be about the penalty or sentence the convicted murderer should receive, but it's turned into a continuation of  trashing Travis in another
a weak attempt to justify her hideous plotting , planning and execution of murder..still trying to make the jury believe Travis deserved to be tricked, ambushed and slaughtered. When that tactic didn't appear to be working it was on to prosecutorial misconduct and the big bas media machine. The media has made it impossible for Arias to put on a complete mitigation case, claims attorney Kirk Nurmi..but that argument is full of holes as we all know how Jodi has gone out of her way to talk to that same media group she claims has so harmed her trial..Arias can't testify in public yet she can take her case to the Internet every chance she gets asking for your support and more importantly your hard earned cash! She is perhaps the most arrogant and despicable murderer tin recent memory as she to this very day continues to exploit her notoriety from spilling Travis' blood.

Her Appellate Fund continues to collect money to fund Arias appeals when we can be fairly certain she will utilize a court appointed legal team. The money collected in that JAA Appellate Fund is non refundable and is not tax deductible..Arias has pledged the money will be used to employ the best possible legal representation she can find but in reality nobody seems accountable for what the funds are being used for and I would be surprised if any of it is used for the funds stated purpose..
arias attorneys have been successful at stopping and otherwise delaying the trial by filing a flurry of motions, each of which must be considered and ruled on..the judge in this trial has seemingly lost all control over this trial and seems to be so afraid of something coming back on appeal that she's let the defense call the shots! It's not the way a trial should be run..the judge should be calling the shots and she needs to keep this trial moving and stop the madness now. This tail is one for the books and I believe it is an example of what can happen in a high profile case..nowArias' latest ploy is that since she has 14 mitigation witnesses who refuse to publicly testify they are again claiming they cannot put on their mitigation case as Jodi' 14 witnesses are so terrified for their lives they won't take the stand. When did this become a mob trial? What do they want to go into the witness protection program? Please! Stop the madness.

I personally have serious doubts she has 14witnesses PERIOD! Where did all of these witnesses come from between the last trial and now? And we are expected to take their word that every one of them are too fearful to appear in court? This just doesn't sound plausible or probable. The defense has no defense is what it boils down to. Jodi did not kill Travis out of self defense or because of pornography..she hunted him down and ambushed and killed him out of pure jealousy and the rage of being rejected and to top it off, she could NOT allow Travis to take anOther woman to Cancun where things could turn romantic.

She plotted and planned this murder and if that isn't a death penalty case I'm not sure what is..the day
Near and the sentence will soon be handed matter oh
Iw many motions or delays they file it's coming to an end. I can only hope the Alexander's can attach the funds Arias collected from her various ventures and support stes so the exploitation of Travi
S Alexander's death ends once and for all. What nerve this woman has. Talk about heartless and greedy? That's the least of it. Arias is going away for a long long time IF her life is spared it would be far more generous than the sentence given to bt

  1. I've been thinking about you a lot lately. I too, highly doubt that there are 14 mitigation witnesses. I was furious yesterday when JW and Nurmi aggressively and relentlessly were accusing Juan of being a pervert and Judge Stephens allowed all of it in open court. Last week KN kept pontificating about porn "images" instead of describing what they really are, urls, and he got away with it ; because neither JM or JSS challenged or corrected him. Yesterday he was doing it again!

A few days ago I was reading an excellent article that made me immediately think about you! If you have not seen it -- check it out.

All of Christine Beswick's articles are excellent.

Last week KN kept pontificating about porn "images" instead of describing what they really are, urls, and he got away with it ; because neither JM or JSS challenged or corrected him. Yesterday he was doing it again! Also doesn't it make a difference what forensic programs were used to find that porn back in 2008 and now in an updated software world? And do we know what the DT dude used to find it? Isn't that part of the whole incenerator BN, JS, and one other person side motion? geesh......and honestly, I have never seen before an expert witness that a judge certifies as such, without *any* CV testimony and using a fake name. Bizarro.

KN is so full of baloney!!! I looked at old minute entries yesterday afternoon and I discovered that back in '09 & '10 Nurmi was the attorney of record along with Victoria Washington AND Nurmi was not only aware of the mirror image's existence but apparently it was turned over to him. The Defense filed another request for any and all electronic media to be turned over immediately BUT after Melendez' testimony at the hearing, the motion was denied. JSS was not the Judge back then; it was Judge Sally Duncan. The dates of those minute entries are 11/13/2009 and 01/1210 if you are pulling from the minutes list on website for the county.

As of yesterday, Judge Stephens was still running a super secret trial with every other minute sidebars!

The defense has continuously misrepresented evidence AND witness testimony involving porngate. They keep - on purpose-going out of order chronologically with testimony - conceding to things like 'well maybe it WAS just error but error so egregious etc- ' but then take advantage of the long delays between hearings and trial and go back to making claims that it was 'egregious misconduct' using exact same evidence being taken out of context. Their goal seems to be to thoroughly confuse and create chaos in an attempt to waste time so jurors drop out. Nurmi explicitly argued disingenuously in hearings there was child porn on computer. Given that we NOW know he was using virus porn terms or the one search for 'teen' to say '1000s of child porn'- how is this NOT serious misrepresentation of facts for the purpose of misleading judge? How is judge not doing anything about this? Or when would be the time to do something about defense deceit in the courtroom? And who would be responsible for filing a complaint?

Dr. Janeen DeMarte - A Look At The Prosecution's Expert Witness

Dr. Janeen DeMarte is expected to take the stand in the Jodi Arias murder trial as a key witness for the prosecution. Think of DeMarte as the State's response to Dr. Richard Samuels and potentially Alyce LaViolette. It's unclear when DeMarte will testify, but with Alyce LaViolette's testimony wrapping up, I thought it would be helpful to take a look at who the State's expert witness is.

Dr. Janeen DeMarte is a licensed clinical psychologist who has a private practice in the Phoenix area. She holds a master's degree and PhD in clinical psychology. with a concentration on forensics - and graduated from Michigan State University and fulfilled her doctoral residency at Arizona State Hospital.  Her clinical training was done at outpatient clinics, correctional facilities and inpatient unit settings. She has served as the Clinical Director of a large outpatient behavior health clinic in Phoenix and "oversaw the practice of numerous multidisciplinary treatment provide…

Is Alyce LaViolette Cashing In On Murder Trial?

As the defense finishes questioning their star witness, domestic abuse expert Alyce LaViolette, many are disillusioned by her choice to take the stand to portray murder defendant Jodi Arias as a battered and abused woman.  Maybe I'm the one who's crazy, but wasn't Travis Alexander the one who had the life stabbed, slashed and shot out of him at the hands of Jodi Arias? Who battered whom here?  Are Travis Alexander's not-so-kind text messages to Jodi Arias PROOF that he was a womanizing batterer and bully who held all the power in the relationship between Arias and Alexander?

Alyce LaViolette seems to think so. Does she have any idea the feelings of outrage she is bringing out in the hearts and minds of the real victims of domestic abuse all over the country? Before LaViolette began testifying, I kept asking myself "why would a woman who is so well respected in her field choose THIS case, defend THIS woman?"  Could it be the money? I suppose $250-$300 an hour c…

Was Trip to Cancun Catalyst to Murder? Jodi Arias Murder Trial

Marie "Mimi" Hall was the first prosecution witness to take the stand in the Jodi Arias Murder trial. She took the stand on January 3, 2013. Hall told jurors that she met Travis Alexander through the Mormon Church. Although they initially went on a date, it was quickly recognized that they were a great match as friends, and they remained such good friends that Alexander invited Hall to accompany him on a work retreat to Cancun, Mexico. The trip was to begin on June 10, 2008. Travis wouldn't live to see that day. Friends found him murdered in his home in Mesa, AZ on June 9, 2008. Coincidence, or catalyst? Travis's close friends have told investigators that Arias had been engaging in stalker-like behavior in the months preceding the murder. Twice, Alexander had his tires slashed after going out with other women. He told close friends his Facebook account had been hacked into. Arias even reportedly would use the doggie door to gain entry to Alexander's home. …

A Look At Alyce LaViolette And More Strange Video Footage of Arias Arrest

Yesterday, as Dr. Richard Samuels finished up his testimony the Jodi Arias defense team called their next expert witness to the stand, Alyce LaViolette. LaViolette is a very legitimate expert on the subject of domestic violence, having been one of the early leaders back in the 1970's when this was not a topic that was spoke of often. Jennifer Willmott had LaViolette introduce herself and her educational background, and list her many accomplishments helping battered women and even helping the men who battered them, hoping to return these women to a safer environment. She is likable, and she is a legitimate voice on this topic. The prosecution should not expect this witness to be as sloppy in the trial casework and reporting as Dr. Samuels was.

While it's unknown exactly how far out on a limb LaViolette will go for Jodi Arias, she is expected to testify about some of the characteristics of battered women, why they return to their abusers - and what some of characteristics are of…

"Cold Justice" Heats Up Unsolved Murder Cases

This is my third blog post on TNT's new reality show, "Cold Justice".  Cold Justice pairs former Texas prosecutor Kelly Siegler with former Las Vegas CSI Yolanda McClary, who travel to small rural towns across America to look at unsolved murder cases.  Their first episode which aired Tuesday has already delivered results - the arrest of Ronnie Hendricks (see yesterdays post for details) for the murder of Pam Shelley. TNT lists an episode guide online, and
I couldn't resist taking a peek and looking for details on those cases.  I was astonished at what they have accomplished in their first season.  This is more than just another crime drama, these ladies are committed and determined to bringing justice to those who may have escaped it previously in small towns that may lack the resources to bring a suspect to trial.

You can see the episode guide on their website. They give a brief description of the victims and circumstances of their deaths. Here is a list of this seas…
