Martin Martinez Murder Trial - Next Preliminary Hearing Set for August 21, 2017

No new information has been released following the pre trial felony hearing yesterday involving murder defendant Martin Martinez.  Martinez, who is accused of killing 5 people including his ex-girlfriend, her 6 year old daughter, his own mother, his niece and his 6 month old daughter in a Modesto home on or around July 18, 2015.

Among the deceased are Martinez's former girlfriend Dr. Amanda Crews and his 6 month old daughter with Crews named Rachel.  Law enforcement has been tight lipped about the circumstances surrounding the mass killing, although a review of court documents discloses that special circumstances involving the use of a knife against Crews and Martinez's mother are present.  It is not known when the actual killings took place or how Martinez was able to subdue this many victims, although 3 of the victims ranged in age from 6 months old to 6 years old.

There are many questions to be answered in this tragic and senseless story.  What drove Martinez over the edge to the point where he could (allegedly) kill this many people?  These were people who were close to him - at least at some point in his life.  What could his mother have done to have been included in this murderous rage?  How could he snuff the life out of his own 6 month old toddler?  Make no mistake, this is the type of story that haunts people in their nightmares.  A nightmare the families involved can never wake up from.

With information scarce on this case, we can only gleam bits and pieces of data from court documents listed on the Stanislaus County Court website.  The preliminary hearing should give us a look inside the details of the case and why law enforcement zeroed in on Martinez as apparently the one and only suspect in this case.  Martinez's family members voiced their shock and confusion around the allegations and arrest.  They do not see "Marty" as the type of man who could commit such extreme violence, particularly to family members.

The police must have some concrete or strong circumstantial evidence to have arrested Martinez in such short order.  Albeit, another arrest warrant had been issued the same day the bodies were discovered for another case in which Martinez is being charged with the murder of Dr. Amanda Crews 2 year old son Christopher Ripley.  Ripley was the son of Dr. Crews and her ex husband Timothy Ridley.  The 2 year old sustained a head injury while in the care of Martin Martinez that was initially ruled "accidental", however a neurologist later changed the finding to indicate he died from homicidal violence.

An arrest warrant had been issued for Martinez in the death of Christopher Ridley at the time of the mass murder in Modesto.  Martinez was apprehended in a San Jose mall when he came out of a movie theatre with his father.  He was taken into custody without incident and was extradited back to Stanislaus County where he has been held without bail.  

This story has touched many people in the Modesto area where Dr. Crews worked as a physician.  There was an outpouring of support for her family and her twin sister Kimberly and Amanda Crews ex husband Timothy Ridley who lost his two children to what appears to be a case of extreme domestic violence.  It's a tragedy all the way around.  In total, Martinez faces charges in the murders of 6 people in this family.  The trial will be painful, as the details of the deaths of so many young and innocent children are revealed.

According to the arresting document, Martin Martinez's last known address where he is believed to have lived after CPS filed an order to remove him from the Nob Hill Court residence he shared with Crews is directly across the street from where I currently reside.

Preliminary hearing for Modesto man charged with killing 6 - Martin Martinez

A preliminary hearing has been set for August 2, 2017 in the case of the State of CA vs. Martin Martinez.  Martinez, a 30 year old man accused of killing 5 people in a Nob Hill Court home in Modesto on July 18,2015.  Martinez is facing the death penalty if convicted of the multiple murders.

The family connections in this case are heartbreaking and a little hard to follow. The victims names and relationship to Martinez are as follows:

• Dr. Amanda Crews, ex-girlfriend (38 years old)
• Rachel, daughter of Amanda Crews and Martin Martinez (6 months old)
• Elizabeth, daughter of Amanda Crews (6 years old)
• Anna Brown Romero, mother of Martin Martinez (57 years old)
• Esmerelda Navarro, niece of Martin Martinez (5 years old

In a separate case, Martinez is facing charges for the death of Amanda Crews' 2 year old son Christopher Ripley who died from a head injury in October of 2014 while in the care of Martinez.  Initially ruled an accident, the manner of death was later changed to a homicide and police were said to be a few weeks away from issuing an arrest warrant at the time of the July 18 murders.  The timing has led to the speculation that the murders could have possibly been prevented had the police moved to arrest Martinez for Christopher Ripley's murder sooner.  

No motive has been stated for the multiple murders, however could this murder charge the event that triggered the violence?  This is a complicated story for sure.  Martinez has told several stories about how Christopher's head injury occurred. Employees at the day care center Christopher attended reportedly saw bruises on him on at least 2 occasions.

On July 18, 2015 Modesto police were called to Dr. Amanda Crews' Nob Hill Court home to perform a welfare check after she failed to show up for a scheduled lunch date with friends.  Following the discovery of the bodies, police began looking for Martin Martinez and he was eventually apprehended outside of a San Jose mall.  Crews' ex husband (and the father of Elizabeth, age 6 and Christoper, age 2) Tim Ripley is devastated that his entire family has been wiped out.  Ripley and Crews divorced approximately 2 years prior to the murders and Crews began dating Martinez.  Martinez's family in San Jose are having a difficult time reconciling what he is accused of doing.  They say they were unaware Crews and Martinez had broken up and claim he "loved his daughter" (Rachel, 6 months old).

Amanda Crews was a physician in Modesto working for Stanislaus County Health Services.  She enjoyed working with low income families and was well respected by her collegues and patients.  Martin Martinez was reportedly employed as a stock clerk with Stanislaus County Health Services.  Martinez had been living with Crews until Child Protective Services issued a protective order that forced him to move out following the death of 2 year old Christopher Ridley.  Martinez allegedly had been trying to persuade Crews to "sneak him" into the house to let him spend time with 6 month old daughter Rachel but Crews refused.

No information has been released on how Crews and the others were killed, however court documents on this case shows a knife was used in the killing of Amanda Crews and Anna Brown Romero and suggests Martinez was lying in wait in all of the killings.  This had to be a horrifying scene to discover and I can only imagine what the people inside that house went through as each of them were attacked.  For one man to kill 3 young and helpless little girls is unimaginable but he is also charged with killing his own mother.

The trial will be difficult for Crews' family to endure, particularly for her identical twin sister Kimberly Crews.  Crews has testified about physical disputes between her sister Amanda and Martinez.  She encouraged Amanda to contact the police to report the incident but she never did.  Amanda and Martin eventually reconciled and this led to a strained relationship between Amanda and Kimberly.

The prosecutors have filed a court document showing what type of evidence will be used to show aggravating circumstances if Martinez is convicted of murder:

• Testimony of friends and relatives who discovered the victims bodies
• Photographs and video of the victims in life
• Victim impact statements; including testimony of victims close friends and relatives
• The defendants lack of remorse at the crime scene
• Evidence of the defendants statements regarding the victims
• Violence used in the homicides
• Crime scene details showing advance planning and lack of remorse
• All trial evidence regarding premeditation and deliberation; multiple homicide and lying in wait

In addition the prosecution plans to call character witnesses to testify about child abuse and domestic violence. The question remains; what in the world could have caused Martinez to systematically kill 5 people in that Nob Hill Court home?  How could he kill the mother of his daughter, his own mother and the 6 month old daughter he claimed he loved?  I'll never understand what drives people to this extreme violence where murder becomes the solution to the problems in his life.  

There hasn't been a lot of information released about the crime scene, evidence or potential motive in this case.  Law enforcement believes the killings were domestic violence related.  I have so many questions about what happened here.  How did Martinez gain entry to the home?  Did he still have a house key or did Amanda let him in?  I would imagine one would feel relatively safe having 4 other people in the house with you, although 3 of those 4 were 6 years old and younger.

Martin Martinez will also have to face a jury in the case of the death of 2 year old Christopher Ridley.  Ridley was the son of Amanda Crews and her ex-husband Tim Ridley.  Christopher suffered a head injury while in the care of Martin Martinez in October of 2014 and later died from the injury. While his death was originally classified as an accident, the manner of death was later amended to homicide and a warrant was issued for the arrest of Martin Martinez.

While Martinez was not believed to have been aware of the pending arrest warrant, could he have found out he was about to be arrested and charged with Christopher's murder and become enraged by the thought?  It's so hard to understand how someone could kill that many people who were close to him.  How could you kill your helpless 6 month old daughter?  How could you kill your own mother and niece?  He must have been angry at someone in that house, and all bets are that Amanda Crews was the target of his fury.  Everyone else was just in his way and he decided to kill them all.

According to the Stanislaus County Court website, Martinez is due to appear at a preliminary hearing tomorrow (Aug 2) at 8:30AM.  Perhaps more details will emerge at the hearing - but there is no way these killings will ever make sense to me.  Martinez's family has said he did not suffer from any type of mental illness in the past, which leads us to believe this was pure rage.  

The killings have stunned the city of Modesto, where Dr. Amanda Crews was known and loved by many in the community.  Justice in this case will help the healing begin, but nothing will ever erase the horror Martinez left behind.

Mystery in Mississippi

Investigators in Horn Lake, Mississippi are working to unravel the mysterious death of 37 year old Jessica Renee Johnson.  Johnson was discovered by a mail carrier on June 2, 2017 beneath a 38 inch mailbox with shoelaces tied around her neck.  Authorities initially called this a suicide, however Jessica's mother, Linda Appleton Johnson strongly disagrees that her daughter would kill herself.  The official coroner's report will not be available for 4-6 months.

The mailbox shown above is the location where Ms. Johnson's body was discovered.   How is it possible for a person to hang themselves from a 38 inch tall mailbox?  I suppose it's possible, but is it likely?  This is one of the many questions that will need to be answered during this investigation.  Johnson's mother says she last saw Jessica on May 31 when she left to spend a few days with her off again, on again boyfriend.  The pair spoke by FaceTime on June 1 when Jessica indicated she would be coming home and she never made it home.  Her body was discovered on June 2 by the mail carrier in front of a house Jessica and her boyfriend were visiting.  What is the connection here?

It seems like law enforcement has a lot of questions to answer before they can say this was a suicide.  The initial cause of death was "ligature strangulation" and some people close to the case believe the whole death scene was staged and Johnson was killed elsewhere before being placed at the mailbox. It has also been noted that injuries to Johnson's body were observed while she was being prepared for the funeral - injuries that did not appear to be self inflicted.  There were marks on her arms and what appeared to be a footprint indented into her arm.  It also looked like she had been injected with something.  All of these things seem to appear to point to homicide and not suicide. 

Johnson's mother believes her daughters past struggles with drug addiction have caused authorities to write this off as a suicide.  Linda Johnson continues to press law enforcement to look into her daughters death.  She has contacted the family of another Horn Lake woman who died under similar circumstances and was said to be friends with Jessica's boyfriend.  That sounds like too big of a coincidence to ignore.

Jessica Renee Johnson was mother to an 8 year old daughter and 19 year old son.  This family deserves answers, and I certainly hope they don't have to wait the 4-6 months for the official coroner's report to move forward in this investigation.  If this death is listed as a suicide, law enforcement will not have the ability to investigate anything further.  It would seem that common sense tells you this woman did not hang herself from that mailbox!  I think we will be hearing more about this story in the months to come

Cold Justice Returns July 22, 2017 on Oxygen

Great news for fans of the true crime series "Cold Justice".  I was very happy to see that Cold Justice will return for a forth season, with a few notable changes.  TNT dropped the show, however Oxygen wisely snatched it up to bolster it's new "Crime Time" format. I am a big fan of this show, so I was saddened that Yolanda McClary will not be returning this season - she is said to be "exploring other projects". I thought McClary and former prosecutor Kelly Siegler had great working chemistry so I will miss watching them dissect these cold cases together.  The show has netted some impressive real world results. In just 3 seasons, their work has resulted in 16 convictions and 30 arrests.  Not bad considering some of the cases they tackled were 20-25 years old, making locating and re interviewing (aging or now deceased) witnesses difficult.

Sure this is a television show with lights and cameras and production crews following the team around - and television is all about ratings.  However, "Cold Justice" seems to be about more than ratings.  It's about getting justice for the friends and families of murder victims who have never received their day in court for their loved one.  You can tell that former Harris County prosecutor Kelly Siegler cares deeply about what she does.  Like her or not, she gets results.  As a tough Texas prosecutor she didn't lose murder trials.  She found a new calling with "Cold Justice".

There are a variety of programs that touch on cold or unsolved murder cases, but in my opinion this is the crème of the crop.  Look for the premiere later this month on Oxygen.  The 2017 cast consists of:

Kelly Siegler - Siegler worked as a prosecutor for Harris County for 21 years before retiring from the DA's office in 2008.  She is well known in the law and order state of Texas as being tough and a formidable opponent in the courtroom.  Siegler tried and won convictions on more than 65 murder cases during her tenure at the DA's office.  She is a sought after speaker known throughout the country and is a passionate advocate for victims rights.


Johnny Bonds - former homicide from Texas, began in law enforcement in 1967 and has been with the "Cold Justice" team from the inception of the show. Bonds is an old school fan favorite and just has that Texas lawman style that makes him fun to watch.  Bonds has more than 41 years of law enforcement experience and met Siegler after accepting a position as an investigator with the Harris County District Attorney's office.

Steve Spingole - has been assisting the team the past few seasons and was involved in the case of infamous serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer.  A retired Lieutenant Detective with the Milwaukee PD, Spingole is also the author of several books including "The Best of the Spingole Files, Vol 1", "Predators of the Parkway", and "A Former Homicide Detective Explores the Colonial Parkway Murders.

Aaron Sams - new to the "Cold Justice" team, Sams is not new to law enforcement. He served as a homicide detective with the West Palm Beach Police Department for 18 years and worked over 250 violent crimes and homicides. He received many awards and accolades during his career including the 2012 ASIS Criminal Investigation Team of the Year award.

Tonya Rider - also new to the "Cold Justice" team, but this is no rookie investigator.  Rider has 26 years experience with the Toledo Police Department in the Crimes Against Persons/Homicide Department.  She received a Meritorious Service Medal for her work on a high profile cold case involving the murder of a Catholic Nun by Father Gerald Robinson who was arrested in 2006.  Rider is now retired from the police force and is a full time instructor at the Bowling Green State University Forensic Investigation Program.  Another great addition to the team.

Dorice "Dee Dee" Moore Proclaims Her Innocence From Prison

Dee Dee Moore has been in a Florida prison for several years now following her conviction for the murder of lottery winner Abraham Shakespeare.  If you have seen the various police interviews of Dee Dee shown on Dateline and many other programs, you know she has told many stories about Abraham's disappearance which ultimately turned into his death investigation after his body was discovered buried in a deep hole covered by concrete - on property owned by Moore.  In 2016, Moore met with reporter Michelle Meredith from WESH and continued to proclaim her innocence.  She now says Abraham offered her $300,000 to bury his remaining lottery money in her yard. Hmm....does the dirt pay more interest than the banks?  She has NO idea how the body ended up buried under concrete on her property. Tha fact that no cash was ever recovered from the concrete tomb didn't seem to phase Moore.


Moore befriended Shakespeare approximately a year after he won the Florida lottery under the guise that she wanted to write a book based on his rags to riches story. Moore had a staffing agency for nurses and probably seemed like a safe person for Abraham to talk to. At this point in his life, he reportedly was tired of being approached by strangers and friends alike for money, which he was known to be generous for. Shakespeare was living a simple life at the time of his lottery windfall and likely didn't have the right people looking out for his best interest to safeguard his money.  He went from essentially living hand to mouth to buying a mansion in Florida, as well as a few cars and a Rolex watch purchased second hand. 

At some point Moore gained his trust enough to let her handle many of his financial affairs and this would ultimately lead to his untimely demise. Abraham Shakespeare simply vanished.  It was common knowledge that his reading and writing skills were at a low level, yet Moore produced letters supposedly written to his mother that she had delivered by a close family friend Greg.  Moore paid him to call Shakespeares mother pretending to be him, as if she wouldn't recognize her own son's voice?  Law enforcement keyed in on Moore after her outlandish and changing stories about Abraham being away on purpose and after finding that she had purchased Shakespeare's home and was living there. They were never able to establish that she actually paid him for the home.

Moore suddenly was flush with cash, buying her boyfriend a $80000 Corvette as well as high end vehicles for herself which she would then sell for the cash. An elaborate sting by law enforcement was put into action and they caught Moore on tape trying to find someone she could pay to take the rap for killing Abraham. She met with an undercover officer who she believed was already going away to prison for a long time who would say he killed the lottery winner for a payment of $50000 from Moore. She took the bait and he convinced her to give up where the body was in order to make it believable to the cops. The plan was to move the body and the murder weapon buried with him.

Sadly, the police found Shakespeare's body right where Moore said it would be. She was caught red handed and arrested. Even with a mountain of evidence pointing squarely at her, the denials persisted.  I didn't see this trial and wasn't familiar with Dee Dee Moore, so I decided to write to her in prison to ask her how someone like her with a business, ended up in prison and how she was adjusting to her new reality. She began writing me back, and I was taken back initially at how articulate and upbeat she seemed. Naturally she tells me she did not commit this crime. She says prison is awful and the conditions are deplorable, but she is making the best of it. She has sent me inspirational articles and cards. After some time she began suggesting that I could help her get the word out of her innocence by getting a TV or film crew come and interview her in prison. She claims she has documents and evidence the jury wasn't allowed to see or consider that points to another killer.

Moore also told me that she was a law abiding citizen who had never been in trouble with the law. I began researching her history and found that wasn't exactly true. I never believed there was exculpatory evidence held back at trial, however if there was it may be compelling. I sense that Dee Dee has a not so we'll hidden agenda writing to me. She points out that a book on her side of the story could be worth a lot of money, comparing herself to Amanda Knox and her book.  I'm writing this post using a tablet which doesn't have the ability to scan documents, but I will share some of her correspondence when I am able to do so.

I have been interested in how ordinary people find themselves serving long sentences after being convicted of violent crimes. I have come to see Moore may not be an ordinary person in that sense. She can be charming and manipulative. She wanted that money and in Abraham Shakespeare, she found the perfect mark. He was a simple man and sadly the lottery windfall ruined and cost him his life.  I will post more details when my laptop is up and running again. Until then, have a great weekend! 

Retired Judge Belvin Perry Comments on Casey Anthony Case

It seems like with the upcoming 3-part special presented by Investigation Discovery ("Casey Anthony - An American Murder Mystery") we are beginning to hear more about the mystery surrounding the death of 2 year old Caylee Anthony and the surprising acquittal of her young mother Casey.

The residing judge on what has been referred to as "the social media trial of the century", Judge Belvin Perry was interviewed by USA Today and he believes Casey Anthony probably killed her daughter Caylee, but not intentionally.  He still believes there was sufficient evidence to take the murder case to trial and he didn't say whether or not he agreed with the verdict.

I always find it interesting to see what Judges think about the cases they reside over.  Their job is to ensure the defendant receives a fair trial, however they have to have their own thoughts and opinions about what may have happened. He pointed to the evidence of Casey's internet searches on the use of chloroform as an important piece of the puzzle - one that may point to her trying to use the agent to quiet Caylee or put her to sleep and she may have given her a lethal dose.

From what we have seen from all of the Casey Anthony jailhouse videos of her visitations with her parents, it seems if she did accidentally cause Caylee's death in such a manner there is no way she would or could admit that to her mother. Instead, the story she concocted was so outrageous that it became a national story and stayed in the headlines for months.  The more the public heard, the more outraged people became.  One thing is certain - Casey Anthony is the only person who really knows what happened.  I doubt she would ever come clean if she hasn't by now.  The death by accidental drowning/cover up just makes no sense when you look at the behavior of her grieving parents at the time Caylee was missing.

I'll always believe the duct tape over Caylee's mouth may have been placed there to go with the kidnapping story she came up with.  The placement of her body so near to the family home and near where the Anthony's used to bury their deceased pets is no coincidence.  These are things she cannot explain.  We still really don't know where Casey went every day when she pretended to go to work.  There are so many things we don't and probably will never know.  This is beginning to have the feel of the Jon Benet Ramsey case - only in the public's desire to know what happened.  No other similarities in the cases, but when children are killed, it hits home.

I tend to agree with Judge Perry.  I never really thought it was an intentional act, but Casey is the only one who can say for sure.  If you are still interested in this saga, be sure to tune in to ID's special beginning 4/9. Have a great week!

Why is Casey Anthony Talking Now??

Regardless of what you think of the Casey Anthony case and the verdict, there are some things that simply will never make sense to me.  With Casey speaking out after years of silence about her experience with the trial, she still hints at her father's involvement in the cover up of a simple accidental drowning.  This never made sense to me - George was in law enforcement at some point in his life.  Police officers tend to do the right thing.  If Caylee did truly drown in the pool, unfortunately a common occurrence in Florida, why go to such great lengths to cover up an accident?

Secondly, George's grief at his granddaughter's absence/disappearance seemed genuine to me.  It's difficult to fake that type of anguish.  You saw it every time Cindy & George were caught on TV.  You could sense that although outwardly they were suppo rtive of their daughter, I don't believe George trusted her or believed her story.  But his wife Cindy is a very strong and outgoing woman who seemed to call the shots in that family.  I don't know how they could believe Casey's lies about this nanny.

One thing that was really never suggested at trial is the idea that the duct tape may have been placed over little 2 year old Caylee's mouth to make it appear to fit the kidnapping story.  That's what I thought from day one.  Casey had her story and she would stick to it until the trial began when they moved to the "dad molested me" defense.  Sickening to think she could allow her attorney to throw her (supportive) father under the bus to save her own skin.  I never bought that story, although that's just my opinion and I've been wrong before!  I just personally saw it as a convenient way to distract the jury from the facts and evidence in this case.  

Fact #1 - THERE IS NO NEED TO COVER UP AN ACCIDENTAL DROWNING, especially of a 2 year old child.

Fact #2 - THERE IS NO WAY a normal mother would not report said drowning, call 911 or try to get help there when or if Caylee was discovered in the pool.  I cannot see George carrying Caylee out and offering to take care of discarding her body like trash.  I'll just never buy that story.  I don't know if the jury bought it, or just didn't feel the prosecution had enough or definitive cause of death to convict her of murder.  I am shocked she wasn't convicted of SOMETHING for failure to report her child missing for a month.  Maybe that isn't a crime in the state of Florida.  It should be in all 50 states.

So Casey's life goes on.  Reportedly she is supported by members of her defense team, working and living with one of the investigators on the team.  Do they actually believe her story?  I just find it all so outrageous, still - all these years later I truly believe she got away with at the very least child neglect and perhaps murder or manslaughter.  If she loved that child as much as she claimed, she would have been out of her mind with grief the first day she was missing.  Photo evidence shows the exact opposite.  She was out partying with her friends and apparently making up for the lost time she spend being a mother of a 2 year old child who required her attention.  I hope someday she will reveal the truth but that's highly unlikely.  She's been proven to be a liar (also because of the family dynamics, according to her legal team) and she'll lie about Caylee's death for the rest of her life, even though double jeopardy protects her from prosecution.

This has all been brought up again because of the Investigation Discovery special that will be airing in April - "Casey Anthony, an American Murder Mystery".  I was hooked on this case as I was on the Scott Peterson trial and Jodi Arias' trial.  I just never wrote about those cases before.  I'll never understand how the jury bought the covering up of an accidental drowning.  Who does that?  There is nothing criminal about an accidental drowning and they couldn't have been that frightened of Cindy's reaction to concoct this story and toss their granddaughter's body in the swampy woods like garbage.  It's just not likely to have happened that way.

What do you all think?  Did Casey get away with murder?  Was it an accidental death of some kind?  It may have been, but I truly believe George knew nothing about it.  It shows you what kind of person Casey Anthony is to still be pointing the finger at her own father all these years later.  Haven't the Anthony's lost enough?  They lost the granddaughter they adored, I believe they lost their home and I don't know if either of them are currently employed but this event changed their entire world forever.  If they are still sticking together, things can't be easy on them.

I'm looking forward to the ID special and hoping it uncovers some new facts previously unknown to the general public.  I think Casey Anthony and OJ Simpson will forever be known as the two people who beat the justice system.  I don't know exactly what Casey is guilty of but she's guilty of something.  I just wish she'd tell the truth for once in her life.  

I think the prosecution did a decent job in presenting their case against Casey, but they spent too much time focusing on the partying of Casey.  Sure it's part of the case.  But more time should have been spent on drilling down on the fact that SHE DIDN'T KNOW WHERE HER 2 YEAR OLD WAS for a whole month and told nobody.  That seems to be the action of someone with something to hide. Why avoid your parents, lie about where Caylee was for all of that time if she accidentally drowned?  It was a weak defense, with is why they felt the need to bring the allegations of George being a pedophile into the case - to explain away Casey's odd reaction to her daughter being gone.,

It still blows me away that she's been a free woman for years now.  But that's the way it goes with our justice system.  Sometimes people get away with criminal actions and sometimes innocent people are convicted of crimes they didn't commit.  I think you can guess what I think.  I wonder what you all think?

Why is Casey talking now?  Is she being paid for these interviews?  I don't know what exactly her motive is unless it's financial.  She knows people still believe she's guilty and she says she doesn't give a sh**.  Classy.  I haven't read Jose Baez's book or Jeff Ashton's book on the case and trial.  Tune in, I'm sure we haven't heard the last from Casey Anthony.
